Choosing Courses and Registering for Them

Follow these steps to get advice, choose, and register for classes.

  1. Look Around and Get Advice
You have reasons for studying at CUA. What are they? Think about these reasons as you browse the Course Catalog and department webpages. Don't limit yourself. You may never again have the leisure to explore your academic interests in depth. So consider taking classes that complement your primary focus or allow you to broaden and deepen your knowledge of yourself and the world.

And it wouldn't hurt to get a little advice, right? All students, and especially transfer students, should be in touch with an academic adviser. First-year freshmen should also consult course advice on the First-Year Experience webpage.
  2. Find Your Cardinal Station User I.D. and Password
You received your unique user ID and password when you were accepted to CUA. If you've forgotten your user ID, or if you do not have access to your CUA e-mail account, you'll need to call the computer help desk by phone: (202) 319-4357 (Help Desk staff cannot give out log-in information by e-mail for security reasons.)

  3. Find the Courses That Fit Your Schedule
Not every course is offered every semester and many courses have several sections that meet on different days and different times. Use the schedule of classes to find the sections that fit your schedule. Choose a subject from the drop-down menu and be sure to select "Fall 2013" as the term.
  4. Register
You're almost finished. Follow these instructions to officially register in Cardinal Station for the courses you've selected.
